You’ve probably heard the saying, “Birds of a feather flock together.” Or perhaps you’ve noticed that when your day starts off negatively, the rest of the day seems to follow that pattern?
Here at the Center For Regenerative Cell Medicine, we are big believers in the power of the mind and the ability it has to create a healing in the body. The same way that a negative thought can cause havoc throughout your day, a positive thought can bring joy to your day. By being aware of your thoughts and the words you speak, we have seen miraculous changes not only in our lives, but in the lives of our clients. In order to heal the body, one must first heal the soul, and it begins with the thoughts that you think and the words that you speak. If I asked you right now to tell me about some things that are going on in your life, what are the first thoughts that cross your mind? Are they fear based, or are they love based? What areas of your life do you feel are not at ease and how much time do you spend dwelling on these thoughts?
Fear, doubt, anxiety, anger, resentment; all of these things pull down the cells of the body, and shock the nervous system. When you live your life with these types of thoughts and emotions as your dominant energy, disease and disaster have no option but to follow. Sometimes we think that we have no control over the thoughts that come to our mind, or we blame life experience for the way that we’re thinking or feeling. What we want to tell you is that you DO have the power to be aware of your thoughts. And you DO have the power to change those thoughts if they no longer serve you. The question is, will you?
Most of our thought patterns come from belief systems that were ingrained in us as small children, by people that loved us. They tried to raise us the best that they knew how, given the understanding and knowledge they had of life at that time. What they weren’t aware of is that they also taught us how to view ourselves and how to view life. If they lived in fear, we learned to live in fear. If they thought we weren’t good enough, we thought we weren’t good enough. If someone didn’t love us, we started finding reasons not to love ourselves. Over the years, we developed into who we are today, as a result of life experience and how we perceived it. What fears do you see constantly showing up in your life?
The power of our words and our thoughts can either give us a good life experience or a bad one, and we invite you today, to decide which life experience you want for yourself. It takes practice to change your train of thought, and it starts with being aware. This week, if you’re willing; go out and get yourself a journal. Keep track of as many negative thoughts that you can, and next week we’ll take a look at turning those thoughts around to a better feeling place. In the meantime we’ve included some affirmation cards. Find one that resonates with you and put it in a place that you will see it often. If none of them resonate, find a good feeling thought and write it down and put that somewhere that you see it often. We know, this probably sounds silly, but humor us! The worst thing that could happen is nothing, right? But what if something amazing happens? All because of a silly little affirmation…
